Dr. John Radford founded Five Star Urgent Care in 2011 in order to provide communities with the kind of quality, walk-in urgent care he saw was lacking while he served as an ER doctor. Patients quickly appreciated this new addition to their healthcare services, and Dr. Radford became committed to serving more communities.

In 2018, Five Star Urgent Care rebranded as WellNow Urgent Care to better reflect our mission of offering quick, convenient and quality care for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. We also acquired five MASH Urgent Care locations in Western New York while continuing to open new facilities in medically underserved communities. Now, as one of the country’s fastest-growing urgent care providers with nearly 40 locations, we are proud to have expanded our footprint across two states, with more locations and partnerships on the way.
